Default Type S pistons

I would like to put type s pistons in my h22 before I build up a head, so here are some questions I have. Can I just buy the std pistons and rings and put them in(as long as the walls are good), or is it a good idea to get the .25 over. If I did the std I would like to leave the engine in the car to save on time, is this a bad idea. Also for the rods I have read you should have them rebushed or use 97+ rods, whats is the best rout for the rods? If there is any other tips or info on this it would be greatly appreciated.
