Default car shuts off by itself after remote started

Recently installed the FM2005 alarm system myself, everything else seems to work fine. Except when I remote start it, half the time the car will turn off 2 seconds after it started, and the other half it stays on. Anyone ever had a similar problem or knows what I did wrong?

I'm not fimilar with that alarm but here are some things to consider.

Ebrake on?
Clutch bypass correctly?
Tach wire correctly? over-rev protection and so forth

Now that I see your other post. I assume you didn't install the tach wire but instead did the tachless mode. Install tachwire and see if that helps.

I would think that if it only works 50% of the time then you might have one of the trigger wires not well connected. When you go under the dash look at the brake wire and make sure the connection is secure.

Try and remote start the car and if it stays on then move the wires around and see if it turns off ...then take it from there.

problem solved. i figured it had to be something to do with tach wire (thanks machaf), i retraced the wire from brain to distributor. turns out it was tapped into the wrong distributor wire (yellow and black) when it should've been tapped into the blue one. now everything's peachy thanks for all the help
