Default can someone explain to me how tach / tachless starter works?

I recently installed my remote starter, and there is a DIP switch for choosing tach or tachless. tach mode is required for a wire connected to my distributor, while tachless is the "smart" mode and requires no external pulses...

Does either one have an advantage over the other? Can someone explain? Thanks.

definitely run a tach wire...much better for the vehicle and u dont have to worry about over cranking the starter...which is terrible on the solenoid. tach is much smoother...should be a blue wire at the distributer cap.

without a tach u hafta wory about cranktime and the car not starting 100% perfect. so esp on the easy hondas...just do it
any questions...email me
