Hello all, I have a 1994 DOHC 1.6 Del Sol. I had a slight grind going into 3rd when I bought the car so I put Syncomesh in the tranny. About 2 month later I had the clutch replaced. A few months later it started popping out of 5th gear. Sometimes it will stay in 5th for a long time and just randomly will pop out. My question is could the guy who put the in the clutch not have filled the tranny with enough fluid? Could this make it randomly pop out of 5th? It don't grind or pop out of any other gear. Thanks in advance.......

 

Sounds like to me man the shift synchronizer is going bad!! and causing it to pop out of gear!!

 

i was having the same problem, he told me that i have bent my shift fork and my tranny wouldnt go into 3rd. so i bought a gsr tranny with an lsd. its being installed now.
