Running Loose on bearings for a turbocharged b18c?
I was having my machine work done and the shop was just asking what all i was putting in it,
They were talking about I may want to run a little loose on the bearings, not too much, but a little play.
They told me I might want to ask and see what others have done.
I did not cut my crank, I had it balanced and micropolished(Journals are pefect) The crank had 197K miles when pulled.(was not knocking either btw)
So Question is, Do you think I should go back with the stock color since its been micropolished, and had miles, and achieve a little play without knocking.
I dont like the idea of going with a different color, but I figured since this has work been done, I dont need to.. That Ill achieve that tiny bit of play with what bearings it calls for.
Furthermore, This motor is gonna be ran N/A for a few months, untill after breakin, and When I purchase the parts to install...
Any comments?

My only suggestion is that you is that you should measure the bearing oil clearances instead of guessing.
