Default 94 ABS light

On my 94 Accord my ABS light came on. It always comes on about 2 minutes after I start the car and stays on. Well, I checked the fluids and everything looked good under the hood, so I took it to Honda and they said they had no clue why it came on. (Loved hearing that) Anyways, I came to the conclusion it might just be a short...anyone else have this problem or had it? I just wanted to know how to turn it off.

Have you tested to see if the ABS works?

ya mine clicks on after about 10 seconds or so after turning the car on I gotta take it to Honda to get the codes running. I think one of my rear calipers are messed up. When I slam on the brakes it feels like just all my discs lock up and the ABS thing doesnt engaged because I get full power to my brakes instead of how ABS works

Yea, I had Honda test the ABS and they said that was fine, but the light still comes on.

from what I have read, if your abs light is on you shouldn't have abs capabilities. your breaks will just be normal breaks. I would try it on a rainy or icy day and see if you feel it or if it just locks. If it just locks and the Honda dealership says you are okay, give 'em a swift kick to the nuts for me!

I have the same problem. my abs light comes on after like 3-5 min. of driving on my 94 accord ex. When my abs light is on, the break respond normal without anti lock brakes system. I have no clues of how to fix it. It would be nice if someone could tell us how.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! I will have to look more into this when finals are over. I think it might be the fuse or wiring because everything else like the fluid levels and stuff are just fine. I also have to see how they work in the snow...fun times. Plus the fact other people are having the same problem with the same generation of Accords it might just be something with the wiring and age of the car itself.
