Anyone replaced the 5 hard lines that run underneath an eg?
I feel kinda stupid asking this as I haven't even really traced them down yet or got a good look, but I'm wondering how hard it would be to replace the 5 lines that run straight back on the underside of the car (eg hatch 1992 cx).
I'm assuming they're the fuel and brake lines, but I don't know what it'll take to replace them. Bad accident in the driveway when a truck hit my car and knocked it off the jackstands, one of the stands hit and severed all 5 of these lines.
Do I have to rebend new lines to install them? Is it a very time consuming job?
I've worked on cars plenty and I don't have a problem doing it, just wondering on any guidelines / advice / tips from someone who's done it. Thanks.

Oh man its such a bitch. It's one piece all the way from the prop valve to the rear caliper. I got one at the junkyard, by some miracle the guy got it out of the car w/out damaging it or even bending it. I wish they would have let me watch him do it. Probably the car was totally stripped. I wouldn't even try ordering that from the dealer. Imagine them trying to ship it.
The real difficulty in installing it is getting it between the suspension components and the firewall. Disassemble that whole **** first. You also have to remove the straps to your gas tank and some of the heat shields there. It's very hard to get the lines out of those plastic clips. Man, you're in for a world of pain. Just take your time.
Your other very expensive but much much easier alternative is to get steel braided hose and terminate the ends. Otherwise try looking into buying a reel of steel tubing, custom bend it and terminate it.

Thanks for the response. I'm hoping I don't have to buy the line and bend it myself, we had to do it one time on a 1970 chevy pickup, it wasn't fun.
If I can get these at a junkyard in one piece I'll consider myself lucky.
Thanks again.
