Default bigger guy needs bigger seats

To those who aren't lil skinnies. I've got the ef fronts and rears in my hatch at the moment, and my big butt is simply too big for these to keep in GC over time. Now I'll try to keep my backseats, and my pass seat possibly, but the drivers seat may get made into an office chair or something .

I wanted to know of those who have gotten wider seats etc for their crx/civic.

my hatch 88 dx, myself 6'2" 250 lbs.

I may just deal with it. Over time the bottom portion will get wrinkly, and i'm careful not to scrape the bolsters.

Corbeau has wide versions, what about the recaro srd's? how wide are they? i've never sat in them.

You already mentioned it but the only real racing seats i found that accommodate larger people is Corbeau. SRD's are a big seat but whether they can handle wide hips is another question i dont know the answer to.

Damn boy that" < too much booty in the pants" sounds like you need a thighmaster.

But to help the srd should be ok. Cobra i think it is makes a wide *** seat , the only problem being if you put in a driver and passenger seat in it, they like are so close together at the the shoulder bolsters.

also curious about a bigger seat. i really fit perfect in factory racing seats like the evo, sti, rsx and newer civic si. those are extremely comfortable to me.

FWIW, I would stay away from anything JDM. I'm 6'-2" 220lb. I have JDM Integra XSI seats in my CRX and they are noticably snugger than the stock seats in my 94 GSR.

the seats were local and cheap
they need a 88 seatpan and 88 rails, so i can scoot back further, that would help alot

Sparco Evo 2

Same as the Evo but this seat is 1”1/4 (3 cm) wider in its inner sizes. The Evo 2 is designed for larger drivers (over 200lbs).

Available in fiberglass only and with side mounting. FIA homologated.

im 6'2", 240 and work out... seats in my EF suck! and i have JDM SiR's, so those bitches aren't comming out, but the seats in my 97 GSR fit great... try some LS's and maybe get them upholstered in vylnal, or leather.

me and built b16a are in the same boat, except the work out part, yeah i'm a slackard, need to get back into shape

Do you just put up with the seat not scootin back far, or did you mod it?

i think I would trust the sparco's over the corbeau's, but $$ is a factor

<<<using Sparco EVO 2.....with modified sliders to move it back for my 6'4" 220# frame.
And if you're gonna move the seat back get a dished steering wheel. I also got a spacer in there as well.
