i dont recommend pulling your housings apart to change from amber turn signals to clear...

the reason being is, if you dont get them sealed correctly (well) when putting them back together they will either leak or fog.....then look like ****.....

the jdm housing is the way to go.... i believe you can get them for between 700-900.... just remember you will have to get your headlights adjusted, because they aim differently in Japan and you will blind on comingf traffic....here...

what kind of banging noise? transmission or rear end ?

Are you talking about the resounding "CLACK" when you puts it in gear or shifts? I've heard it when I was test driving an my03, but its more of a muffled "click" in my my04.

the noise is not just a thin sound u hear when u shift..

the noise is i think from transmission..

it sounds fine when it's not moving..

but when im goin 10~20km/h and shift gear to 2~

the noise sounds like.. someone knock my car from outside...

I don't know what you're hearing b/w shifts, could be anything.

As far as clearing your headlights, it's very easy to do for someone that has done it before.

just bake the headlights, it's really simple..... just make sure you do it right and you got someone to help you (preferably someone thats done it before)....and get two silicone tubes to seal up the housing... one tube for each side... and you'll be fine... i've had mine done for ehhhh 10 months no.. and they are still perfect..

Go to th s2ki forum and do a search. Its been done a thousand times there. I did mine 17 month ago and have not had a problem. Also, visit Rick's store to buy the cleared lenses. He can be found here:

http://www.ricks2k.com/products/diffusers.php

The instructions on how to do it are there.

The clunk you hear in the back is normal. There's a bevy of wonderful little noises you will find in an S2k :D

JDM headlight housings for this particular discussion are rediculous. If you want the exact lenses in there buy them from Rick, open up the headlights and install, $100 and a few hours of your time. You even have a few other options for the lense or none at all.

Download the instructions on his website and follow them closely and it will be a piece of cake. Plan to take a full afternoon and take your time, the first one's a pain in the butt but you should figure it out quickly. Use more Silicon than you think is necessary and you shouldn't have leaking issues.
