I can't put my finger on it, but I know there are some visual changes to the civic by year, does anyone know what they were?

In '93, the Si hatchback and EX sedan got body-colored mirrors (they both had black mirrors in '92).

In '94, Honda started painting the two fake side vents in the bumpers of coupes and hatchbacks (they were previously left unpainted). CX and VX got a passenger side mirror. The "H" was left uncolored on the Si HB/EX coupe hubcaps (they were previously colored in).

That's all I can think of, externally.

Internally, all Civics got a passenger airbag in '94. EX coupes got Acoustic Research tweeters on the door panels, and new fabrics/patterns. Some '93 EX coupes with a special options package had a passenger airbag however; not sure if they got the tweeters with the option package.

 

there are minor differences in all trim levels....

 

Thanks for your help, those are very minor changes, Honda really didn't seem to need mess with the formula, no MMC atall.

The only differences I could pick up on is the obvious ones, the painting of the mirrors and bumper vents, so thanks for the little history lesson.


BTW, what are the specific years for hubcap styles, does anyone know?

 

no specific year of different style hubcaps, but each trim level had either steelies or hubcaps...

cx hb and dx hb/coupe/4dr had 13" steelies i believe

lx and ex 4dr's had the same style hubcaps, not sure on how to explain the design

ex coupe and si hb's had the swirly-type hubcaps

vx hb had 13" rims, not hubcaps

No ABS for 95 Si hatchbacks (was an option for 94).

94 EX coupes had tweeters stock.

93 Frost white coupes had brown interior. 94-95 frost white coupes have gray interior.

My 95 EX has painted door handles, but the side skirts are still black.

i had a 94 si and the hubcaps had lil black stickers that eventually fell off

mine had both. not sure how commom they were, but i got the passenger side airbag and the tweeters...

All '93-95 EX and Si models had painted door handles.

None came with painted side mouldings or skirts.

 

Really the side moulding were never painted? Cause the one down my street has it. Yes It could have been something done afterwards. But its just a girl owning it. Maybe she bought it used and the owner before her painted it like that. oh well
