Coming home from the self service car wash, I took a mild left turn at 50MPH that I normally take at much higher speeds, and the back of the car came around. I thought for sure that the right rear wheel (Spoon) was going to fly up the curb sideways and smash the right rear 1/4 into the electric pole, but the car corrected. I stayed on the gas and rode it out. The back swung to the right, left, right, then left again and eventually started going straight. I'm sure there was no ice on the road. Maybe there was water frozen in the tread grooves of the tires. Anyway, it was a little scary. The whole ride home I was thinking what a sh!tty way to start off the year if I was to have crashed the R.

 

Close call.. That's happened to me before after a wash.. Guess its just cuz the tires are slick.

 

grrr... dont me destroying my spoons now....

 

Dang. Thats freaky. I've had a friend that crashed after a carwash last year.

Just got back from the mall. On the way there, I drove around the same turn, and I took it at 30mph. Wasn't going to risk it. Drove like a little bitch until I got on the highway. Before today, I haven't driven my R in the pas 9 days. Felt pretty good watching the tach needle go towards 10Krpm
