Nothing to do with racing, but it's the new Civic. I'm not really sure if I like it. Looks too much like a ford chokus.

Maybe it'll show up in Showroom Stock next year??? I dunno. My friends are here in RR, and the guys in EG are dumb.

These pics are really getting old.
I am pretty sure that this is not a shot of any USDM 8th-gen Civic and I don't expect to see this car in America.
More than likely, it is a European market Civic, judging from the 5-door hatchback body style and RHD (UK model?).

Whoops. Yeah, European models are LHD . . . AFAIK only the UK has RHD. The more I thought about it, the more backwards and confuzzled my brain got until I ended up posting something that was obviously retarded.

go step in front of a semi?
go step in front of a semi?
In the current design realm of econo-jellybeans, you could say that was a Honda, Peugeot, Renault, or mini-Vlvo and no one could defend against it.
As unispired as the recent Civics are, what matters more to me is the question "Did they put a real suspension under it or is it more of the current crap?". I dislike the current suspension so much, not just the struts themselves, that I will never own one and won't own any until they are fixed.

I'll bet you say that about all the stock suspensions.

Not at all, really just the '01-05 Civic and '02-05 RSX are the top of my "hated it" list. I won't ever own those cars even with a modified suspension.

Despite what the seemingly wider fenders up front may suggest, I have a feeling that Honda will continue their Mac strut setup in the 8th-gen Civic. The Global Compact Platform is still new, and for Honda to drastically change it after only one generation is unlikely - especially since the struts are saving space, saving money (well, at least since they've been tweaked to stop blowing out every 7,000 miles), safety tests are improved, and most importantly, people are still buying Civics.
We're just not that lucky to get double wishbones back. Hell, we can't even get a Type-R model . . .
JMHO.

Back 2 the topic of new Civic spy shots:
That's just a mistake of labeling. Those are actually spy shots of the new Hyundai Accent. haha

I would say that is the most valid non-endorsement I've seen about the new Mac strut platforms. When 'Mr. Koni' speaks, I listen.
I've said it a million times--how the hell could they eliminate the best feature of their cars?!
