well i need to remove the nut under the oil filter that holds on the oil cooler cylinder. the o-ring in there is leaking and a 32mm deep socket is required to remove the nut. problem is, a 32mm deep socket is a rare expensive beast. no local stores have and a mail order snap on socket is $40. yes, $40 for a socket. is there anyone in the central nj area that will let me borrow their socket? pretty please?!

 

Have you tried something like 40's Rentals or some place like it that rents tools out for daily fees? Another option is to sweet talk a local mechanic.

my dad pciked it up for me so i dodnt know how much it cost though

 

Have you tired Autozone, they have free loaner tools.

 

I bought one last week @ Sears (not the deep socket). Autozone carries them as well.

Yep. Best way to go for a socket you won't use all that much.
