Default need to lower my ride

I have an 04 civic VP. I don't make too much money, but I don't want the cheapest thing on the market. I am looking for coilovers to lower my car 2 inches. Any help would be appreciated. Any ideas?

if ur gonna lower, dont just get coilovers, theyll demolish ur struts, get some lowering struts and gas shocks if u really want coilovers

if you want coilovers, it would be considerably more than springs. You're saying you want to drop your car about 2 inches, i would suggest springs because they can drop about 2 inches (which is what you want) and they're cheaper, if your tight on money.

Actually if he is on a budget then he can get ebay Coil overs for like 100 bucks shipped.

Not tru i have had my coilovers on my stock struts for almost 3 years now and have not had anyproblems, they are not blown or anything. The springs do put more strain on the struts but as long as you dont go rallying then you should not have a problem

Thanx ya'll. One more question. How much of a performance plus/minus will it be to get springs instead of coilovers? Also, I need a short shifter. Are they all pretty much the same?
