my buddy's having a problem with his 96 civic coupe. I pulled the code and its 1337. I'm stunned cause its an ignition misfire code but the car runs perfect. any ideas? its an all stock dx. I used one of those hand held scanners BTW. I just looked up the code on h-t and it seems that it might be the rpm signal. the car doesn't have a tach. I'm gonna check the rpm signal wire in the engine bay.

hahaha I didn't even realize it. well I haven't had time to check it out but any idea why it would throw this code. This isn't some some swapped car or anything. its completely stock. it threw the code the night That we had alot of snow fall.

nope, it has a recent tune up done to it. I got it fixed though. It ended up being the connector for the crank sensor. its weird though cause the car ran fine and didn't misfire or anything. I would clear the code and it would come up right away after starting the car. Boy, was the guy happy to get his car fixed. The engine light was driving him crazy
us hybrid guys are use to this so it doesn't phase us.
