It won't fit in the USDM tranny housing. You need the whole JDM LSD tranny, or better yet, a Quaife.

I do

I have the full tranny though. My shop ordered a full swap JDM H22 swap W/ LSD from http://www.hondamotorsonline.com and my shop parted it out for me, selling me the tranny. After my 1/2 of the shipping costs, I paid $1,000 for it, and it had 27,000 miles. I didn't think to compare the housing to my old one, so I don't know if it would go into the US-spec housing.

I think thats the big question here... I am not sure. I think it would be easier to get an aftermarket part then the JDM diff.

install is a bitch on a new diff.

also, I paid $1000 not only for the LSD but for a 27,000 mile tranny. My stock USDM one went to the crapper when jiffy lube trashed it.

either way, equipping a LSD is pricey... mine is getting installed today... i paid 834 shipped for the Quaife, plus the cost of splitting the gearbox case (about 3-4 hours), plus another 75 for the two different bearings... the work is all-in-all a big PITA... the only reason i'm doing it now is b/c my tranny is already dropped for my clutch and flywheel overhaul...

well, like i said, i already have the tranny off to replace the clutch... so it costs about 6 hours for the tranny removal and installation, and about 4 hours to take apart your tranny and replace the differential and differential bearings... mine was supposed to be done yesterday; i paid an extra $25 to have the differential bearings overnighted through Bill Paige Honda, and they arrived yesterday morning, but Bill Paige didn't have a driver to deliver them to CDE. so, CDE didn't get my bearings until 3PM, too late to finish the install on Friday... so now I have to wait until Monday (damn ******* bill paige honda)... i'm a bit pissed as you might imagine...

For someone who knows what they are doing...with the tranny off it should take at most 4 hours.

4 hours is what CDE told me... but removal of the tranny and reinstallation is another 6 painful hours...

the labor on this overhaul is going to kill me...
