How much do del sol's weigh in at? curb weight that is..

 

My friends 97 del Sol VTEC weighed in at 2480-2500 lbs. in race trim (light fuel load, jack and spare out, etc.). He was limited as to what he could do in his class (the SCCA's "C Street Prepared" class requires full interiors) so he had a powerful car with a high curb weight compared to other competitors (like 1600lb. CRX's) and was getting spanked at the Pro and National events we attended. As such he got rid of it.

Also, don't forget all the chassis flex inherent in the car.

The "S" models are lighter though by 100 lbs. but are still heavy for a car of its size.

Their weight's range from 22xxlbs to 25xxlbs, depending on the model. The "S" model being the lightest and the "VTEC" model being the heaviest. It seems like everyone on this board just constantly sh*ts on the Del Sol because of it's weight and chassis flex.
