Default jasper racing tranny?

has anyone ever heard of this company before or have any experience with it, my tranny finally went into a mess and i am in the market for a new one. I have a 99 non sh......and am kinda getting close to 400whp witht he proper tunning, and a few misc things, regardless im saying my tranny needs to take a beating.....

my options
3200$$ for labor, and fully built race tranny built by jasper, carbon coated race sycros and gears, polished case and it appears crome in the pics ive seen....and 1 year unlimited mile warranty

or i purchase whatever tranny i can find around here or ebay, usdm 5 speed or a jdm m2a4 or m2b4, somthing....and then i pay 500 for labor and whatever i spend on whihc ever tranny.....can these handle some abuse?

what would you guys do, im thinking longevity, so the 3200 might be cheaper in the long run, help me out fellas

Dude, you bumped your own post within a minute of the previous post. Just chill out, people will help you if they can, it just might take a little time.

IIRC, Jasper is a motor remanufacturing company that sells 0-mile longblocks. Sounds like Jasper Racing is a subdivision of their company.

3200 is not bad for a brand new tranny w/ some upgrades, but to be completely honest, our stock trannies do not really seem to be the weakest link in the drivetrain. Many people on here have made 400+ WHP on the stock tranny. Just ask Anthony (PrecisionH23a), Vinny (fasthludeh22), or Oaks Racing (oaksracing).

After higher mileage, the synchros DO begin to wear out and grind, so carbon syncro's are not a bad idea.....but they're far from necessary. IMO, you should first upgrade the axles if you are worried about breaking stuff.

Stock trannies are strong. First worry about the axles then sychros.

Prelude99 the stock tranny will easily handle your horsepower. The stock axles will hold up at that range as well.
Send us an email if you wish to get rid of your old tranny.

Didn't he say his tranny broke? If so then I think he needs to get himself a new one before getting new axles.

As for these Jasper people, sorry, but I've never heard of them.
