Default less tq= less lovin

ive been driving too many different cars lately and it finally gets to me... my gsr just doesnt have that low end pull... Dc2's were always my dream car(realistic dream car). I love it to death but what can i do to solve my greedy need for tq? I was looking into buying a rsx-s or a tsx. My gsr is almost paid off with only 9 months to go... Im sure some of you felt the same way for your integ... What do you guys think

Ray- who easily falls in love with test driven cars...

Turbo will equate to more torque...

Not only that. MUCH MUCH more enjoyable to drive.

You could always pull the block out, and do an LS-vtec, 11.5:1 compression (arias pistons) and some eagle rods. Also, skunk 2 intake manifold....ehhhh type R trans would help? header....uhhhhhh theres a lot more but its 9am and im tired so, bye.

Oh, or just wreck the car, buy it back from the insurance company, and put the motor in a hatch. Ok bye.

have you driven an rsx-s or tsx? I have an rsx-s and a gsr and the rsx just feels like a strong gsr to me. it doesnt have the low end of....say the se-r spec v. your best bet is to drive a gsr with a jrsc. Those have low end.

There's one thing I have to mention, "There's no replacement for displacement."

Agreed. So, a turbo will be your best bet. Its like upping the displacement.

From the description of your need, I would highly recommend you buy a Greddy Turbo kit. Some people might say that it cost a lot but i think it not that bad, Once you've gotten the kit. A set of 550cc Injector and Hondata would highly helped, Then hope onto the dyno and tuned it for 7-8psi, That would get you around 210-240whp and around 190lb tq. I personally have a greddy kit on my LS, it is a very fun car to drive with. im currently running 10 psi on a built bottom end and the **** pull hard throughout my rpm range, I loose traction on 2nd gear once i hit like 5k-5.5k rpm so i could say my tq number is not bad.

Well... If you want to add torque but keep your honda, you'll have to get forced induction. I suggest a supercharger, so you can get some serious 2000 rpm grunt, although it isnt as effective as a turbo in the high ranges.

I based my current car's purchase on a number of things, and first on the list was torque. I might only be a 15-second car, but it definitley feels faster than that.

Nothing like dumping the clutch at 2000 rpm and spinning like there's no tomorrow.

Thats one thing I always hated about my teg, you could throw it around like none other but it just felt slow as *****

I agree with a small turbo, 200hp is a reasonable goal that makes these cars quite fun but wont break the bank, or risk grenading your engine

haha, Gran Turismo quote! but yeah, if you want low end power (or torqe) then you need more displacement or a JRSC or both! sleeve it as far as you can and stroke it! then get a JRSC. Better yet get an h22 bore it and stroke it then get a JRSC!
