Default ultimate honda parts bin brake upgrade ?

I just read about 100 posts about how to install 90-93 teg brakes on my DX, then I came across this http://home.wideopenwest.com/~tschmidt/ which says we/I can use the Accord calipers, re-drilled 94+ prelude 11.1'' rotors with 90-91 EX knuckles.

Ok, here's what I'm thinking... If the accord wagon calipers can be used, why can't we sub the legend GS twin piston calipers ?? If that IS possible, would we need to get the legend GS caliper bracket ? I know the accord guys have to use the legend GS bracker when they do the upgrade ( about the only thing I know about accords )..

EX knuckles = $150
Accord wagon/94+ prelude re-drilled rotors = $150 ( for nice ones )
Legend GS calipers = $200 new at parts store ?

$400 ( worst case ) for 11.1'' rotors with twin piston calipers that are bigger/better than the NSX stock ones !!!

I have 15'' 99-00 civic Si wheels, so I don't think clearence would be a problem...

Please post any concerns or problems with my theory...

Just wanted to add that of course a bigger MC/brake booster and "4040" teg prop. valve are prob. going to be needed if I do rear disks too.

Wow, 11.1 duel pistons up front, and 9.5'' RDB on a gutted CRX would make any 911 feel bad, hehehe... ( My H/B is guteed, but I bet it would be bad a$$ )

How are you planning to machine the caliper brackets to spec? I wonder how much a machine shop will charge for this.

I just said that I read about 100 post ( meaning I searched !!! ). I couldn't find anything about using legend GS duel piston calipers ( which is what I'm questioning ).

I wonder why.... Nevermind

for people that post " do a search" before understanding ( fully ) the question.

As far as machining the ".115" off the braket, its barely more than 1/10 of an inch, a quick hit with a grinder or die grinder with a carbide bit would make short work of that, no need to get ".11500000120011" of an inch shaved. Its just so the caliper clears, and gives it the right "offset".

Angle grinder made short work of the integra caliper bumps that needed to be grinded for me...

Wow.... You showed me.... A 1995 INTEGRA WITH LEGEND CALIPERS... I thought this was the EF page...

I searched in the EF section, using achives, and only found questions, no answers..

And besides, how much harder would it have been for you to post the answer vs telling my to search ??

Still haven't seen pics and a parts list for putting legend calipers on a 88-91 EF ( Although I'm thinking its 100% possible ).

I guess if that GS-R can use them, I can ( which is what your were getting at ). Thatnx for the info, but no thanx for the rude-ness.
