This year couldn't have ended better (said in a VERY sarcastic tone). Today (the 31st) my wife and I drove in my Accord to a local mall to do some shopping. It is a very big mall, but it is in "yuppie-ville", in a very safe place. Anyway, we went in, did our shopping, and went to leave. It took us anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half. We get out to the car, and my wife notices that the doors were all unlocked. I remember very vividly locking my doors, so i'm like, "what the hell?" Well, about that time we both notice that my center console where the dash kit for the radio is located was ripped all to hell and my Clarion CD player was stolen. Also, my wife had just bought a pregnancy book from Babies R Us (cause she's 15 weeks pregnant ), and the book had been moved from the passenger's seat and thrown in the back seat. To make matters worse, whoever broke in and stole the CD player cut his/her self in the process, and there was blood all over the book and some on a window, etc. I'm feekin' pissed. Not about the CD player, I've got a nice Sony Mobile ES unit just sitting around in the garage, but the blood and all that **** is not cool. The cop, when we filed the police report, told us to get 100% bleach and clean everything we had that could have been touched, like the bloody book. She said bleach will kill anything that could possibly be on it. So, everything is clean now, but I thought I would share this to vent.

Whoever did it knew what they were doing though. They didn't break in with a slim jim, they broke in through the bottom of the door handle. Now, the passenger door handle is slightly raised, and the paint underneath it is scratched all to hell. The good thing though is that the locks still work. Oh yeah, they left the wiring harness so installing the Sony will be a snap. Eh, maybe I'll just leave the radio out and save a few pounds Sorry this was so long, but like I said, I just need to vent.

sorry dude, that sucks. i know how you feel.
ive had all my stuff stolen before too. pioneer in-dash dvd/tv,pioneer control box,
kicker zr120 amp, 2 kicker solo-baric L7's, and every cd i owned.
but you have an advantage since they left blood. i never got anything back.

hopefully 2002 will be better for all of us.

btw, congratulations on the pregnancy!

 

That sucks, as I read the title of the thread, I thought it was goign to be good news. Are the police going to do anything about the blood? TEst for people? I dont know.............guess it's impossible. It was probably someone who knew accords and just hangs around malls. Sorry again, anything about insurance?

 

Get a DNA report, find the bastard, cut his ***** of and glue them onto his forehead. Sorry dude.
