loud screetching noise when i start
theres this loud screetching noise when i start up my car sometimes, it sounds like a belt??? i dunno.. doesnt sound good, only when i start up tho... anyone know why?
Tighten both. It's pretty easy to do, a little time consuming to explain though.
Cliffs Notes. Losen the bolts that hold the alternator secure to the bracket. Then, you tighten the tensioner bolt. You will see what I am talking about.
The power steering is easy. You can see plainly where the tensioner bolt is. Again, losent the bolt that bolds the PS pump secure to the bracket, tighten the tensioner bolt, retighten the bolt that secures the PS pump to the bracket.

if it stil does it wen the belts are tight, the belts will be worn, and u need new ones...dont tighten them too much or u will break bearings, and that will cost even more, get a garage to do it if your not sure wat ur doing...
screeching is also caused by the belts being TOO tight...
check the tension on them
should have a bit of play like a few cm's (2-2.5) or an inch or so... just guessing but sound about right...
lol
if its more then that tighten
if you feel them and they are really tight loosen a bit..
note do so with the car off
