Default cranks the same (journals)?

Ok so i found a B20 block cheap (basically free) and i wanted to put in my b18c1 internals in it.

B20 has a trashed crank (key way where pully bolts onto) so i was planning on throwing in my crank and rods in it and buying some 84.5mm pistons. Will it work? Will the B18 crank fit in the B20 block with no problem? crvtec conversion same as lsvtec?

LOL the "b20 crank" uses a "b18 crank."

b20 crank = LS crank.

omniman already did what you are asking about = put gsr crank/rods into a b20. i liked his setup, he used b20z pistons. not thee best build, but per dollar, arguably the best.

do a search under his username.

to answer your question, yes you can use your gsr crank/gsr rods in your block.

why not the best build??he made ALOT more power than alot of people on this board..and he was usin a destroked b20vtec..with under 11.0 compression..... 10.7 if i remember correct..220+whp..... spanks alot of people on this board runnin even higher compression with more stroke

LS and GSR cranks are not the same.

I have a b18C1 not a b18a/b. So a crvtec and lsvtec conversion the same?

ok will search omniman up

because if he were trying to build an all out race motor, he'd probably go a lot wilder... i.e. custom rods, custom forged pistons, resleeve, hondata, itb's, etc.

GSR rods are stronger than LS so you can run like 800 - 1,000 more rpms with them.

well this is actually a going to be a mild build just trying to get the car to put down some decent power while i put together something else. I have another build in progress 84X95 b-series turbo.
