Understeer
I bought the front ST sway bar for my '92 LX. Only the EX has a rear sway bar, I think. (LX doesn't even have mounts for rear) I have not replaced the stock front yet.
So I'll have an ST front and no rear.
Here is my question:
Will it make the understeer issue even worse, with a stiffer front and no rear?
Should you only do a beefier front, if you are going to do the rear as well?

Yeah, you will understeer like a pig.
Leave the front alone, get the rear bar, gooey tires.
If you still understeer then you are going too fast.

This all depends on your driving style and preference. you will notice a difference in understeer, but you will also see the front rolling less, and feel less pitch. Rear LCA from EX should solve your probs with mounting location.

of you can just drill holes.

the sway bar will improve feel but will cost you a little bit of traction. it will be more solid but will break away a bit earlier and the line will be more sharp. with tire pressure induced oversteer, you're sacrificing rear end traction to get the handling characteristics you want (bringing the rear end around) very worth it i might add. just run the fronts at full pressure with the rear somewhere around 4 psi less. hope this helps.
Are you building a racecar?
If not then leave the front bar alone and only go slightly larger on the rear bar.
Understeer is built into the car from teh factory on purpose. Car manufactureres would rather have you facing where you are headed rather then looking in the rearview.
99% of drivers truly do not know or understand the meaning of understeer or oversteer anyway and have a common misconception that they have some type of control over it.

Not a race car. definately for street driving.
The reason I got the front bar was, the bushings were fried when I bought it and the price just to replace the hardware kit seemed high, so I thought I would go ahead and upgrade the bar too for only a little bit more.
If its easy enough to add mounts to the LX for a rear bar, I might just do that too.
