Progress 22mm rear swaybar?
Does anyone have experience with this rear sway bar? It's 22mm and it has applications for the 92-00 Civic. I have seen it for as low as $187.00.
I just have a few questions:
1) Do you use your stock rear LCA's on a Civic (without stock swaybar)?
2) Has anyone experienced damage to the rear subframe?
3) Would this be cheaper than sourcing the parts for an ITR rear bar?
4) Any reviews or comments about this bar?

I have heard that you don't need reinforcement. What can you use to reinforce it? Would this be cheaper than getting an ITR rear bar?

1) Yes. I did on my EJ8, anyway.
2) No, and it's been 1.5 years.
3) I don't know.
4) I love it! It's one of the best suspension mods I made to my car. The effects are extremely noticeable. The backend sometimes gets crazy (oversteer), but my suspension setup probably isn't the best, either. I give it 9/10 only because it looks dumb in bright green. I should paint it flat black or something.

Ues a Beaks reinforcement kit and no it would not be cheaper then buying a ITR sway bar (Brand new)

I haven't had any problems with the subframe, and I autox. As far as price comparisons, I believe you will have to change out the LCAs in an eg so I think it is cheaper than the ITR bar + reinforcement kit + LCAs. I definitely recommend progress as a quality product.

yes you do. hit me up aim if you want info on the itr bar, I have the same car as you. Well actually you don't need GSR LCA's, you can use any 94-01 Teg LCA's, Del Sol VTEC LCA's, or 92-95 Civic EX sedan LCA's.

Re: Progress 22mm rear swaybar? (ej1civic)
I'm in the process of getting some info on this swaybar also.
On 96-00 Civic, it mounts 4inch farther on the LCA than ITR bar does, so less wheel movement and it works more than ITR does. But since it works harder, I'm worried it will eat the subframe.
If you have November 1999 issue of Sport Compact Car mag, they had a comment on it saying why they chose it over ITR bar. They were building 1.0G Civic Si.

I've got a 5th gen hatch, 340/400 GC spring rates. You don't have to change the LCAs to put the progress bar on. All the mounting hardware is included and a fairly easy install.

Re: (brasilracing)
I don't believe you have to change og the lower control arms on a 5th gen if you are using the ITR bar either.
Personally I'm thinking about using the 23mm ITR bar....it might be overkill though. I might just start with the 22 mm bar an see if I want something more.

Re: Progress 22mm rear swaybar?
a friend of mine is selling me one that he had on his Si, he said he isn't using it because he can't use a rear tie bar with it... which makes no sense to me since i hear a lower tie bar doesn't do much.
i've been trying to find info on this sway bar as well, i'll let you know once its installed how it is
