If it was an RS, the 8th digit would be a 4. The model type does not show up in the VIN, if you see RS appear in the VIN, it means it's a 1994 and was built in Suzuka, Japan.
So, if he drives a 1994 LS Integra Coupe 5 spd, his VIN number should be:
JH4DC4351RS000001
