Default remote start and lights....

My car gauges light (speedometer) and rare lights are out it is not a fuse coz i have checked them all. i thought it was a bad ground but now i am note sure.

its like when i use remote start to start the car or unlock/lock the car , the same lights blink, but when i put them on using the **** inside the car i get no response.

any ideas?

Was the remote start a recent install? Maybe during installation a wire was cut?

check the dimmer switch, most likely it has a short in it. pull it out and smell it, you will be able to smell if it burnt up.

I had a simliar problem with my `90 civic si. In Canada, we have the DRL (Daytime Running Lights), and it was that module that was burnt out, causing my light to stop working, even though when I used my keyless, the lights blinked on and off. Maybe it`s the DRL module...

Sounds like a fuse or switch or relay. The reason that the lights blink when you hit the button on you alarm is because its coming from a different power source then your head light switch. If you blame your alarm then check the connection coming off you alarm brain to your parking lights. See if the wire is broke or if there is power before and after the connection.

Yeah I had that problem with my '96 LX... Check to see if any of the switches are unplugged, on mine it ended up that I forgot to plug the dimmer switch back together. I'm not saying it's the dimmer switch but there are a couple of those plugs back there and if one is out they all don't work!
