Default Weird problems with 99 Accord

All the problems I'm about to describe may sound bizarre, but here goes. It all started last night while driving my battery, brake, and all the door lights came on. They stayed until this morning some time. Then my radio went dead, then my car stuttered after accelerating and the ABS light came on. I then went do my destination and shut it off. When I went to restart the car, it didn't start right away. A couple hours later I came back and it did start, but never to start again. When I try to start it, the electrical such as the radio, dash lights come up but I hear a click click click noise. Anyway, does this sound familiar to anyone? Can anyone help me?

Sounds like your alternator is going out, or went out.

I agree with sj993. Sounds like your alternator went to Honda Heaven.

If it is.... what accessories are you running to tax it so hard?

Bionic's 99 went shortly after his swap, so I am not surprised.. especially if you are pushing 150k.

it could be alternator, but check the obvious first... check to see if your battery terminals are loose..

We first decided to replace the battery because one side was dry. So far so good, we'll see what happens next. The car only has $45,000 miles on it.

I was sure it was the alternator, so I took it out and had it tested (was a job, I had never done it before). Turns out the alternator was fine. So I put it back on and had my battery tested, it was bad, a new battery was all I needed.

When working on cars, fix the cheapest (or easiest to get to) things first. As it sounds in this case, the battery was the culprit. Which isn't that suprising, a 6 year old battery is due to go anytime. Which reminds me, my '99 is still on it's original battery (67,000 miles).

I had the same problem last night. I was driving on a highway in snow at 120 km/hr and all of sudden all these lights (brake + doors + battery) came on. They stayed on for a minute and then flickered away slowly. Car was running perfectly fine though. I havent had the problem ever since. Checked the battery terminals and they seemed ok, what do u guys suggest ?
