Default Axle Seal Replacement, what seal?

Ok so I went to cottmans today for them to point out were my tranny is leaking at. SO they get it up on the lift and a few mins later tell me to come into the shop. They say its from my driver side axle, and its the seal, and possibly a bearing too because it has a tiny bit of play. And they say 350 PLUS parts to fix it. I say "ummm yeah sure i want it fixed, just not today, can you fill my tranny up while im here?" But I really had no intentions at all of having them fix it.

So the motor is a b16 in my 90 hatch. And the tranny...well im not sure what tranny it is, the sticker is missing from it. Im guessing its a y1, no lsd. What axle seal should I get? And how hard is it to fix? Just pop out the axle, pop the seal with a screw driver, and tap the new seal in until its flush, right? I did my best with the search but only got a few results with little feed back. Thanks guys!

$350.00?? hell no do it yourself. The seal is like 7 bucks or so. simple as removing axle, pull out old seal with a pick tool. If you don't have a seal driver or anything close to the diameter of the seal just put it in place and use the axle to "tap" it into place. I used a 90 Integra seal for my YS1

My seal was leaking driver side because the barring wore out and the axle got lose and the seal wore and the trans leaked I inspected it and it is the baring for sure I took the trans apart and took a look and bearings and the bearings are chunky. don't get to happy yet make sure it's just the seal. Before you race or drive to far.
