Default Unplugged Secondary 02 Sensor on 99 B18C1

I installed my 4-1 today and when I was going to plug in the secondary 02 sensor...I saw that the threads were messed up...so I didn't plug it into the cat and now it's pretty much just hanging there...I drove it for about an hour and it didnt throw a CEL...do I have to worry about my car running to rich/lean or anything of that nature? Thanks!

the secondary O2 sensor doesnt affect the a/f ratio. it only keeps a check on the primary O2 sensor. i would be more worried about leave n that hole where the O2 sensor goes open to the atmosphere. did u even try to screw in the O2 sensor?

and why did u even take it out in the first place if ur only install n a header. theres no need to take it out. only the primary O2 sensor needs to be removed

I'm with you in the fact that it wasn't necessary to remove for a header install.

As far as it affecting the a/f ratio, the secondary 02 circuit is not monitoring the primary. All it's function is, is to make sure the catylitic converter is doing its job. Its monitoring the amount of catalyst that is going coming out of the cat.

i dont know, but i've read many times that the secondary O2 is used to check to see if the primary O2 is functioning properly. like if the values in voltage between the priamary and secondary differ by alot, it wll throw a cel. just go n by what i've read and been told

I had a high flow cat installed because you can't use the stock cat when installing the DC JDM 4-1...it's longer than the stock header.
