Default 99 prelude abs indicator

My abs indicator light has just recently started coming on. the car has just under 49000 miles on it. A couple days ago it was in the shop due to the timing belt tensioner failing and needing the tenioner and timing belts replaced. when it was in the shop they put it up on the lift and showed me that the radials were exposed on the oem potenzas so after dropping 600 at the dealership for repairs i drove accross the street to drop another 600 on some new pirelli's. The day after i got the car back i checked my brake fluid and my clutch fluid and my oil, then afterwards the front end started to make what seems like a rattling noise when slowing down or reversing and then the abs light comes on. it doesn't come on all of the time and you can drive for miles and then have it come on. what are the possible problems i might be looking at. unfortunatley I can't afford to leave it to the professionals because i am all out of money. What are the different things that will set the light off. What should I look for? I'm fairly mechanically compitent so all I need is some guidence since I'm not all that knowlegable in the field of ABS.

id check teh ABS codes so you know what the problem is. you jsut count flashes like the engine light after putting the wire jumper in the check engine plug.

So did the ABS light come on before the tire change or after?

Sounds like whoever installed the tires for you messed up your ABS/wheel speed sensors.

Bring it back to them and tell them about it. They'll probably deny it but do your best to get them to pay/fix it.

Or you can take your front wheels off, and check yourself. Research on where the sensors are. Or ask someone with a helms manual to give you a picture.

it wasn't the people that did the tires. there's a wire that goes to the abs that didn't get clipped back in by the honda dealership that did the timing belt tensioner so it was rubbing on a pully and eventually rubbed through and shorted out. problem fixed.
