that's right.. i'm running a 99 gsr...

if i dropped in the cams w/ cam gears... i have the DIY bsq intake, skunk2 IM, dc 4-1 header, carsound cat 2.25" in/out, 2.25" piping + comptech axle back...

would there be any adverse effects if i had just dropped the cams in? i know i gotta get it tuned, and change out a lot of my components (in the process) but if there's nothing wrong with just dropping them in, i'll do it... what do you guys think?

hondata s200 w/ p28, comptech race header, 2.5" straight through to magnaflow oval muffler

also.. for those that know something about p28 and hondata...

if my p28 is chipped for a hondata (zif socket + 29c chip), can i just run the obd2a -> obd1 adapter + the p28 (hondata ready but not tuned yet) temporarily to support the skunk2 IM?

btw: you guys recommend anything else? ultimately, my goal is 200whp, but i doubt i'll be able to hit it with these cams unless i up compress/P&P the head...

 

You really don't have to spend all that money on hondata :-)

screw uberdata, u can use a VAFC to setup that biatch.

just dropy our cams in and u should feel a nice difference

Hondata, even with Skunk Stage1s he can just do a basic S100 program, no need really for S200.

 

so as for recommendations??? (besides the damn hondata/uberdata debate)

 

Personally I would wait until you can get it tuned.

BTW, Uberdata, Crome, etc. are just as good as Hondata for most setups.

 

also... would you guys recommend me getting larger injectors, fuel rail, or fpr?

No, not at all. Waste of money. I run the Stage1 skunks in an 11.0:1 compression B18C1 with more mods then you have listed and have 0 issues. I use Crome also, BTW

do you tune it yourself? what's the capacity for your injectors right now? and what other mods do you have?

Injectors are stock, 240cc. Its not exactly "tuned" at this point, but its close enough for now. I have some trouble with my wideband controller right now, so it will have to wait. PM sent with other details.
