Default are type R valves a cost efficient upgrade?

I have the stock B16 valves now, what kind of gains can I expect from type R's? they'll be put in a built 11.5:1 comp motor, crane stage2 cams...

no real HP gains, but you may be able to gain a reliable extra 200-400RPM because of there slightly lighter weight. Not really worth the upgrade, IMO

You would probably also get somewhat of a power increase since the valve stems and head are physically smaller (but the same valve head diameter as other B-series VTEC). Smaller valves obstruct airflow less than bigger ones (provided the actual diameter is the same). But I don't know if the difference is very significant.
