cant get my valve spring on :( need some tips to get it on
when i got the head it was already off i took one off my old block thinking i could sqwezze it back on is there any tricks to make this easyer. Or am i just screwed?
you can go to auto zone and rent one. they usually charge the price of the tool. but as soon as you give it back you get your money back in full. that'll save you some money.

yeah, what he said.
most auto parts stores have borrow-a-tool programs. you just have to pay the price of a new tool, so it can be pretty high, depending on the tool, but then you get the $$ back so it's no biggie. make sure you tell them you are working on a honda so you can get a smaller valve spring compressor. the first time i worked on a head i got a valve spring compressor from them and it was designed for V8's and ****. it was too big. but they make smaller ones so i took it back and got the right one.
