I have an 89 HF CRX and I just bought a 90-91 front bumper as well as a 90-91 DX/SI front reinforcement bar. the new bumper didnt fit on the car and i tried both reinforcement bars, i dont have the HF reinforcement bar on the car, it came with a DX/SI one. So do i have to use an HF reinforcement bar and an 88-89 front bumper? Im so friggin confused. I hope some Honda GOD knows this, especially with as many people come to this website. Please help me, thanks.

I don't see how you would have a problem, the bumper should mount up with just some small modifications.

 

Tell me the EXACT problem, is something not lining up to where it should?

 

what kind of modifications? the 88-89 bumper is like taller than the 90-91 bumper

 

i just need to know what bumper and reinforcement bar i HAVE to use on my 89 hf.

when i had a 90 bumper on mine i didnt change reinforcement bars

if ur putting a 90-91 bumper on a 88-89 crx, u have to use both the bumper cover, and the bumper reinforcement. the reinforcement bars do not interchange between bumper cover years. my 88 crx came with a 90 reinforcement bar and bumper cover, and i installed the 88 cover on, but i have no bar, so its just a bumper cover ziptied on, weight reduction

 

so there is a difference between the 88-89 and 90-91 bumpers?

or does it all depend on which inforcment bar you have?

 

i just need to know if i have to us the HF reinforcement bar, i bought the 90-91 bumper cover and reinforcement bar and they didnt work. the bumper just doesnt fit right from top to bottom. could it be the bumper, after all , it is an OE Replacement part.
