D-Series LSD trans for $995* gauging interest.
As posted on the EG/EF forum:
I'm just trying to gauge the interest if I started cranking out some D-series gear boxes with real LSDs (gear type OBX) with custom gear ratios, different 1-4 and low 5th for highway. Pretty much custom boxes for whatever someone wanted to use it for. Plus rebuilt with all good syncros and ready to bolt in for 995 plus your core back. Give me some feed back on what you all think of this. Cable and Hydro since they are both pretty much the same, I'll have all the parts for them. Any comments would be great.
So heres what our off the shelf unit would contain:
All numbers are based off a 22.5" tall tire i.e. a 225/45/15
22.5" is the most common tire height, so it should apply to most.
Our recommened gear ratios:
Max Speed shifting at 7500 rpm
1 3.250 34.5 mph 1-->2 shift drops to 4064rpm
2 1.761 63.6 mph 2-->3 shift drops to 5362rpm
3 1.259 89.0 mph 3-->4 shift drops to 6154rpm
4 1.033 108.0 mph
5 .771 3527rpm @ 70mph 4000rpm @ 80mph
final 4.250
Max Speed shifting at 7500 rpm
1 3.250 36.7 mph 1-->2 shift drops to 4064rpm
2 1.761 67.8 mph 2-->3 shift drops to 5362rpm
3 1.259 94.8 mph 3-->4 shift drops to 6154rpm
4 1.033 115.5 mph
5 .771 3402rpm @ 70mph 3800rpm @ 80mph
final 4.080
Again, any thoughts on this would be great.
Thanks everyone for your future imput.

well im more B series but i'll give u a bump to start up a nice little buisness(if you dont have one already) I think it might be a good idea but to me it sounds like its shifting at the same speeds..hel i dont know but good luck...tell u what, whoever comes up with a 6 speed B series for under 3k close ratio is going to be one rich mother ******
PS..your best bet is to get a stock crx/civic/hatch and do this to one of them and take it to the track to show a difference.
