OK, i need my hatch running again, becasue ill make a lot more money selling my car with a good working motor, and i have a 1998 civci HX d16y5 motor here for me to use.
I have some questions about wiring and mounts, please help.

1. Whice wiring harness do i want to use? I used my stock hx wiring harness with the gsr motor i put into my hx. But i do have a gsr harness laying around. Its a obd-2 harness, will that work? or do i want to get a different harness for it?

2. What ecu do i want to use? I heard the vx p07 ecu works, but i want to make sure. (it makes sence- since my 92 vx is obd-1, and the ecu is obd-1)

3. The d16y5 will be missing some mounts. like the drivers side mount, so i need a eg drivers side mount, right? and will the hx rear mount work in the eg? or do i need a eg rear mount to make it fit?

I figured out what i all needed to put a gsr into my 1998 hx, and now i just need to see how to put the hx motor into my eg, and there just isn't much write up on it. The vx and hx are pretty much the same concept(motor wise)

Please help me out with this. I have good experience with cars, and i know i can do it, i just want to make sure i got all the RIGHT STUFF so i can do this swap and get it up and running in a weekend.
Im selling the 1992 civic hatch with the 1998 HX motor in it for $3300 once its all done. so if anyone is interested, let me know.

 

i am curious if the p07 will get the VTEC-E working correctly on a d16y5 as well.
