Default Walboro Fuel Pump Issue

I finished doing the change a week ago and when my gas tank is around the half way point my car bogs like is running on empty but anything above half way everything is good. I know that I wired positive and negative correctly but why does my car act funny when the gas tank gets below half way?

Did I put the pump in at a bad angle or something?

well i know i put it on and maybe it did fall off but, if it did fall wouldnt it effect fuel delivery from the get go instead of when i get a half of tank.

when it is acting funny and its reading half tank.. remove the sending unit and verifiy that the gas is realy at half tank,,.. could have a bad sending unit..

also another thing..(just installed mine today) you gotta make sure the new pump/screen sits as low as the orignal.. or it will not beable to reach the gas..

I bet you have the wrong pump and pickup for your model car. was your stock pump larger than the walbro. most people don't notice the size difference and just put it in and it develops the issue of fuel scavenging.

I hope I dont have the wrong pump... the directions notes that the new pump will be smaller than the old...

I used to see this a lot. you can use a 92-civic/94-teg style pump but you have to rig it up so it picks up fuel correctly to match the original way. if not you will get that issue of starvation when 1/4 to 1/2 tank.

I believe I figure the problem. I know I wired it correctly cause if no then it wouldnt pump but suck if I am correct. I think when i placed it back in, it may have not been put back in the correct spot possibly

either placement or incorrect model walboro. my sending reads 1/2 full all the time, i get gas every 3 days, it sucks.

anyone know how much a sending unit is?
