theres no such thing as the 'best' exhaust. its a matter of opinion. what should determine which exhaust you choose is what your plans are with the car and your personal preferences (eg. looks, sound, etc.).
there shouldn't be any cutting of the body parts if you do the jdm front end conversion, as long as you stick with buying the oem metal parts, just some welding for the new radiator support. hmotorsonline.com and passwordjdm.com have good prices on the fronts. fiberglass replica jdm front ends don't fit nearly as well, and fiberglass isn't exactly a strong material so one little fender bender and you'll need a whole new bumper.
btw, turn your caps lock off.

its been said more than once, SEARCH...... dont buy an exhaust for loudness tho..... and as for the front end... if you have the money go for it i guess, most shops here in so cal are good with the conversion

I have the Mugen Twin Loop and you can't hear a damn thing.
Now if only someone would make a copy of this exhaust and take the Mugen badge off it and sell it for 400 dollars

Lucky man, I wish that I could afford a twin loop, the best of both worlds, quiet and free flowing.

Get an RSR exhaust. I noticed you lived in CA... The new RSR is stealthy looking and this should prevent you from getting pulled over as opposed to having a shiny *** fart can like an Apex'i and getting pulled over.
TURN OFF YOUR CAPS !!!!!!
JDM Frontend conversion would run you approx. 1.5k to 2.5k depending on HID/non-HID, from online store/from H-T user, etc. Just find the "right" shop that knows how to do it or get a few friends and do it yourself. There's a guy who made a site w/ pictures on how to do it, use the search function please.
As for the exhaust, it really depends if you want to **** everyone off by setting everybody's alarm off @ your school parking lot (then they'll key your car and you'll drop on the ground and cry) or a stealth quiet exhaust. I have the Apexi World Sport and it's quite quiet
, I only set off one car's alarm outta 10 million attempts. It gets quite annoying on the freeway when I'm crusing @ 80mph (4000rpm on my GSR) but no damage to my ears
. My friend's 240sx w/ SR20DET swap has an Invidia catback and OMFG, after 30 min of being in his car I was about to die. Performance-wise, I personally think they're pretty much all the same. I mean, how the hell are you suppose to "feel" a difference between 1-3 whp? If loud = power for you, go for the N1. If deep = power for you, get the GReddy Evo 2. If you like fartcans, go for ebay mufflers
. Else you can go for the World Sport, RSR Exmag (my friend has it on his lude and it's damn sexy), Comptech (but it's ugly IMO
), or even the OEM Type R muffler. Hope that helps.
