How to decarbonize Honda V6 engine ?
Hi Guys,
I am new to this site. I have a 95 Honda Accord V6 with over 120,000 miles. I want to decarbonize the engine, can any one help me out with the step by step procedure to do that.
Thanks in advance

Why, is it pinging or something?
Fill one of those push bottles (kinda like windex) full of water, start your engine, rev it up to about 2000 rpms and spray the water through the throttle body.
Water, when it hits the piston will vaporize and make some of the crusties fly off throught the exhaust.
Other that that, you can use additives in your fuel or manually do it by taking your engine apart.

I am not saying attaching a water hose to your engine.
But an hot engine will vaporize water. The water, coming into contact with a hot piston will dislodge carbon. Running the engine at around 2000 rpm prevents it from stalling...
Search or ask around you will see.

Safe and well-regarded way to do this. Use Fuel Power, which cleans fuel injectors, lubricates the chamber, does general clean up of system. Works very well in our Accord, also get some MPG improvement. Order at http://www.lubecontrol.com
Several people in our family use it (we're a 6 Honda family around the country) with good results. Dosage: initial treatment, 2 ounces per five gallons of gas. After 1-2 tanks run through, maintain at 1 oz. per 5 gallons.
I have no conneciton to this company, just a satisfied user.

SeaFoam
Its simply the best product ever made!!! You can put it in your gas, oil, and intake. I recomment putting half the can (bout $5 at any auto parts store) through you oil (hundred miles before a change), and the rest suck it up slowly through the brake booster line or PCV valve. Shut of the car after sucking it up (engine warm), wait five minutes, and TRY to start it up. It will run like **** and put out an ungodly amount of smoke (neighbors called the fire department on me!). Let it run for a few minutes, and slowly give it gas, eventually take it for a spin.
I helped my budy swap motors in his 96 Nissan Maxima with 185k miles. He ran SeaFoam through his motor at about 180k. His timing chain tensioner broke and he bent valves, found it was cheaper to get a used engine. Newer motor had 65k miles on it. It was a newer motor so we had to swap over the intake/emission stuff. Everything was WAY cleaner on the OLDER motor. This stuff totally works!!!
