obdo to obd1
dont know much about ecus, so i really need answers to this question...i have obdo-pwo ecu for a b16 that is no good...i am wondering if it is possible to run an ecu from a newer obd1 b16..i think a p28 or p30 not sure...is there anyway to doing this ? ... and also how much would it cost or should i just buy a pr3 ecu....thanks in advance...

First off the easiest way to go obd is with a jumper harness. You will need that, obd1 distributor,obd1 ecu, and maybe injectors.
The p28 although it is a obd1 ecu it is for sohc vtec but it can be chipped to run a b16a.

What pr3 ecu are you talking about? non obd or obd1, if you are refering to non obd then 50-100 on ebay.

when changing distributors is the obd1 legs going to fit or do i need to chop one off. hmm...seems like its cheaper to just buy an obd0 pr3 ecu...

I have a 93 GSR obd1 distributor on a 1st gen B16A, it fits perfect. Not sure about newer distributors fitting on the 1st gen engines.

There is also an OBD-1 PR3 ECU, along with the OBD-0 PR3.

Well, lets see, the harness is plug and play between the obd1 ecu and the under dash harness, plus about 6 or 7 wires that come off the pig tail that are need for the 4 wire o2 sensor, knock sensor, ground, and vtec solinoid. Its not hard at all!
The injectors are also easy, giving you the choice to remain using a resistor box and non obd injectors, or removing the resistor, solding the injectors wires together and using obd1 models.
