h22 in a DA is a no no due to the small engine bay
h22 in a DA is not like puting it in a 94+ integra
sure it can be done but why??? it involves custom modifications and cutting ****
just go turbo or b20 vtec

Thats a myth. Its only 30-40lbs heavier than a B series.

the reason i wanted to go h22 is because of the torque, and uniqueness. Like everyone sugested i could go b20vtec turbo but i heard the the b20 block has weak cylinder walls. what do u guys think, weather we go h22 or b20 its going turbo on a DA i know the car is hella heavy but i know with some good effort, time, and money(hopefully not alot....lol) it can be done. i know the h22 is not a weekend project and the b20 is. so i just have to look at the pros and cons and think it through. i also have a 89 hatch but to much of them out there and well i like a hard challenge.
like the input guys keep them coming.

Good luck on the h22 swap. Took me about 4-5 months of off and on work. Place racing does have a kit but it wont work need to do some extra work to two of the three mounts. Not sure if they still see it or not. Give them a call. Plus you need to cut some of the frame off to fit tranny. Than if you have a 90-91 da you need to make it an obd1 car. Since the h22 only come in obd1. So you need to do work to the motor harness to go obd1. That the big thing. There is little things that need to be done but is nothing major to list... Theres only a few out there with h22 da.
Just a side note. I just got my turbo set up. So look out. H22 da turbo...

why is it "myths" always seem to come up about engines being so heavy? another one i unfortunatly not a honda but the vw vr6 engine everyone thinks is alot heavier than the vw g60 engine complete and it's not, only about 40 or 50 lbs, not a big killer in weight...

Wow, that's insane......bet you won't see too many of those around. I bet that sucker hauls. I'm in amazed. If it were me i'd much rather build a b series though. But major props to anyone who can put a setup like that together.
dang that is nice. i just wish i had some fab skills. if u guys no someone that can drop the h22 for a reasonable price let me know. huge props to the owner of that DA
