B.A.R sticker need advice
i have a 95 civic and am thinking of buying a 2000 usdm type r motor but my friend says i wont be able to get the bar sticker because it has to be a obd1 motor and that i have to have a 95 motor in it (ex: 95 gsr block) but i could put the type r head on it i need some advice
That is wrong... the motor has to have all the usdm smog equip., has to use a usdm ecu that matches the motor and has to be the same year as your car or newer... It does NOT have to be the same obd.

to be more precise, your car can have a newer motor than the model year of the car itself. you need to run all the smog equipment of the motor. for example, if you want to BAR a 2000 it-r motor, you need to run the OBD2 P73 ECU and have a working diagnostic port, along with all the USDM smog equipment. its not terribly difficult to do, but not easy.
