Default Intake Manifold

I just recently installed my Skunk 2 intake manifold on my GSR. I have the stock GSR ecu. I was wondering about the butterfly setting on the ecu? I already know that i got rid of that on the manifold but does it still try to engage at the set rpm or not. when driving it fells like it still surges at that rpm but I could be imagining it!
thanks for any help you give me!

the butterfly opens by vacum not by an ecu signal, and the surge at that rpm is called vtec

It shouldnt "surge".
Check your fuel pressure, make sure your fuel pump is keeping up w/ your motor etc..

You should consider a chipped skunk2 ecu for your setup. You will see a big increase in midrange power & possibly eliminate your "surge" issue.
