Lets see here. As for more power, JDM ZC's have somewhat low compression, so turbo isn't a bad option. Do you have exhaust with those headers? If not, they won't do you much good. NOS is always an option, but I think its cheaters juice and it ruins engines most of the time.

As for another swap, ZC is really the highest power engine that bolts directly in. So, your options with some modification and engine mounts are the b16(full swap $1700 shipped from http://www.hmotorsonline.com) or the more torquey(sp?) b18a or b18B, both of which would probably run you upwards of $2000 for a full swap, or b18c and b18c5 which are around $3000+. After that, theres the h22, k20 and so on, but those will be extremely pricey and require somewhat extensive modification.

third of all: SEARCH!!!!!!!

Forget a swap, just turbo the ZC. Look around the FI forums and you'll find some help.

It all comes down to your goals and your budget, which we don't know. And for future reference, Nos is a brand

Just like drlatino999 said,

(1) what is your goal
(2) how much are you willing to spend

Just like 31flavorscivic said,
(3) search

I thought they had somewhat high compression already.

Any compression motor can be turbo'ed, it just depends on tuning. It is just ideal to have a lower compression motor as it is easier to tune and less worry of one thing going wrong leading to something catastrophic.

Not really. JDM ZC has 9.6 : 1 compression, fairly low. Whereas b18c5 has 11.0:1. Lowest in 88+ I think goes to b20 and the f20 series, at 8.8. Not bad, compared to boosting something like a B16, at 10.2:1.

jdm d15b, not really that expensive and from what i see on some websites it has 130 hp stock. It has vtec and you could probably make it pretty fast.

(if im wrong can someone please tell me because this is just what i read off some engine importer website, not my own info.)

Welcome, you're down the street from me. I'm by Knott's Berry Farm.
You already have a potent chassis the 88 CRX the lightest of the 2nd generation. MORE POWER is what you're seeking, you first find out HOW MUCH YOU HAVE right now. Work with what ya GOT as they say.
Don't have any idea of what trans you got, what condition you motor is in, WHAT TYPE OF ZC
you can hit me up
A lot of the locals come by and I'm always down to help.
and NO I'm not tryin' to slang an engine to you.

You got a lot of money to spend. I wish I had $2000 right now. But like everybody else said, what are your goals?
