i have the chance to do this conversion for very cheap...and it allows me to choose from diff rims..i mean i already have 4x100....why not get 4x114 for like 100 bucks ro so....i could swap them whenever...depending on my wheel mood

what dont u get?? i have 4x100 now like all usdm tegs(except itr)....i have the chance to change to 4x114 for dirt cheap...i just wanna know if i can do it with the parts i listed at the top....and still keep the rest of my stock brake setup?? I mostly wanna do the conversion so i can have a more broad choice of rims...because most of the rims ive been looking into are mostly 4x114....hope i was more clear

The 4x114 is the size from the prelude 93 and up, it makes very good sense to do this swap because it would bring you that huge *** caliper and 1 inch bigger rotor that is the same size as the itr wich brakes from 60 in 116ft as aposed to non itr wich brakes from 60 in 140ft, big *** difference. And as a bonus there are more wheel options.

I do not know if the spindles would bolt right up but you could add the calipers and rotors by bolting up the calipers and having the rotors redrill to 4x100 and get the braking increase. minimum 15 wheel then

As far as i know all ITR's are 5lug.
Even if the brakes will work how will this affect the offset of the rims. Something else to look into. Would suck to swap eveything and then have bad handling because of the offset.

Yup, not all of the R's were 5-lug. The 96Spec R was a 4X114. Sorry, I can't give any information beyond that, but you will get all of the info needed from the Type-R forum.

but isnt it a bitch to find replacement rotors and pads for the 4x114 set up..
i was reading in the ITR forum that the 1 guy that did had a hell of a time finding replacement parts let alone aftermarket stuff..
correct me if i am wrong b/c i have been looking into this suspensoin swap but the whole replacing things when worn out seems to be quite a hassel and if i but it used i would want to replace it b4 i installed it on my car..

any imput is greatly appreciatted
thanks

you can buy accord brake calipers and after that replace the pads and rotors using the same part number

you can order re-drilled rotors from fastbrakes.com and itr wheel offset is the same as all other integras. accord calipers work as due prelude and legend calipers one of the legend models and the accord wagaon even have 2 piston calipers said to be made by brembo.

i know people that have the conversion for somewhat cheap also.. do you think w/ the grinding and upgrading calipers that this suspension swap is worth the money or no?
