new brakes but still scraping noise
i just got all the new rotors and pads in the rear of my 95 ls. everytime i brake when going over 15 mph it sounds like somethin is scraping. its a horrible sound. just wondered if you guys got ne answers for me on what it could be.
is it a scraping sound or a more like a low tone humming noise..? only reason i ask is bcuz i just had my right rear rotor and caliper/brakes redone and it's making a low humming noise when i brake. but i think it's just trying to let the pads break in a bit...as far as a scraping noise, well that certainly doesn't seem right. did you do it yourself or did you have a shop do it for you. if it's a loud screaming scraping sound and a shop did it, i'd take it back and let them know what's up. either way, keep me posted
good luck

the low humming noise is mostlikely the rotors...if they are out of round they will humm...scraping hmmm well if there new break them in but if it doesnt go a way in a few days take it back to the shop...and if u did it you self bring that back say they are defective and buy some more expensive breaks..you only get what you pay for...i hope this might help good luck
