ok, i just did a b16a swap(i'll show pics later) used the stock dx wire harness from a 92 year. everything was plug n play, but now the only thing that is wrong is the battery light dims down, but is still on. wtf. the battery is ok, just that. cars start fin, and runs good. any answers? please help. thanks.

Sound like alternator. With your car running, unplug your battery and see if your car dies.

 

i know it is not the alternator cause i have been driving the car that way for a week now. so that is why i'm lost on why the light is on.

 

Having kinda same problem, just replaced old alt. with friend's used alt., still losing power like bad alt. I then decide to look at my connections to the fuse box and alt., then noticed that when my "buddy" extended my alt. wire during my swap, he did a pretty half *** job causing it to come loose and severely corrode. So, I then replaced the entire wire and now with a recently charged battery, I am getting a constant battery light. Anyone know if the wire coming off the alt. (the 6 guage one bolted on, not the plug) goes anywhere else besides the fuse box on a b16a3?
