Default Advice Needed: Stock B18B Turbo

Ok within the next few weeks I'll be pieceing together a turbokit for my integra. I have done research on it and whatnot, but want to get some actual feedback.

I will be running the stock internals on this b18b until late next year (building up a second b18b on the side slowly as I get money, and once it's built, I'll either sell my integra and pick up a EG or just sell my other turbocharged motor and drop the built beast in).

What I'm wondering now, is what size of turbo, and what size of intercooler to get?

I'm aiming for about 200-225hp so I can have this thing available for daily driving until the end of next summer.

The one big problem as of now, is that it has an auto tranny, but that will be swapped out for a hydro tranny once my larger b18b engine is fully built.

So what size turbo and fmic would you guys recommend @ what PSI to stay safe for just under a year or maybe end of next summer?

Also would you recommend any of these: SAFC-II or a VAFC-II?(I won't be able to utilize the vtec controller but I'm told it's more customizable?). Would they make a difference? Reason I'm asking is because I've heard them mentioned a lot and can get them at a good price.

Thanks guys

u just need a basic t3/t4 turbo and around 12 pounds you should be over the 220 mark. you can use any kind of intercooler, your def gonna have to loose that tranny thou

If you have an auto tranny... you better take that into mind. You'll prolly want a fast spooling turbo.

From what i have seen and heard so far T25's suck ***. They only flow about 250cfm and you wont make any power past 5-6k rpms. On the other hand i would recomend 1g dsm 14b turbo, small 16g, or regular T3.

ok so a regular t3 then?

what psi would you recommend running on stock internals with an auto tranny until i get the manual hydro tranny swap?

would you recommend any a'pexi electronics? or anything else other than a turbo timer and the needed components for putting it all together?

btw, it's obd1

Mine car was 5 speed so i'm not very found of how much power tranny will hold, but i'm sure 200ish whp wont hurt it. As far as fuel menagement get hondata or uberdata. That is the best way to control fuel. I used to run 5 psi on FMU didnt like the outcome. Then i switched to dsm 450's, afc hack, msd btm, and 255 walbro intank. On that setup i ran 9psi with T3 turbo. I mean the car pulled really nice i never had any problems as far as engine goes. I ran the setup for about a year then sold the car and it still runs. I mean lots of people bash AFC-S on the forums but the only problem i see with them is that you have no control over timing. You have to get another electronic to retard timing and that adds more money, and for about same amount of money invested in those two pieces you can get better fuel menagement (that is hondata).

but people were saying it doesnt work for an auto.

I will be swapping to standard in spring, so that's probably when I'd get the electronics.

I was wondering what a good idea would be for now? should i forget the vafc/safc for now, and when i swap my tranny get uberdata or hondata?

but what i want to know is, what to run right now with the auto tranny so it will be decently quick and reliable util the tranny swap sometime in spring.

I'd say get uberdata since its much cheaper but you have to know what you are doing. For now you can run FMU but on low boost no more then 6 psi. I know, i know people run more then that, but i have seen cars blow up even with 6-7 psi.

I don't have much experience with an auto, but I would recommend a t3 turbo. I am using a t3 63/60 from a 300zx and love it. I'd also recommend a strong engine management, specifically uberdata.

True... 14b's are very efficient. Cheap too. Go for that
