climate control problem! help! my heater in my crx does not work! the blower goes on but blow cool warm air! 60 degree max! now is winter and i am cold! can anybody help or tell me how whats wrong or how to fix it! thx

 

there are two valves from what i've learned that control the coolant flow to make your heat work...

under the hood in the engine bay there is one right at the firewall. it's grey. installed on a 1" or so diameter heater hose. that valve needs to be open so your coolant will circulate to your heater core.

in the center of the bottom side of your dash is another valve/control that has a cable going to it. it will need to be "pulled" open for the heat to work. moving it away from the firewall is "open"

you could remove the cables and just set your heat to high manually like i did.... but this option is going to suck when it starts to get warm out. should keep you warm for now though.

so if i switch to high position it will blow very warm, will be abe to blow low heat and still warm up in my crx! well thanks for the directions i will do this ASAP! cause i am cold when driving 35 degrees and freezing my fingers off!
